Lesson Tuition

Instruction on ground handling and care as well as anatomy and hygiene. Riding instruction in western horsemanship, walk, trot, and canter. Intermediate classes include instruction in barrels, poles, flags and other horse show events. Lessons are once a week (on determined day) from 4:00-6:00 p.m.
Private Lessons are scheduled to meet your needs.
Horse Owner Class
$75.00 Two Sunday Afternoons
Designed for the horse owner who is brand new to being owned by a horse or considering being owned! Topics include Basic Veterinary and Dental Care, Nutrition,Tack and Supplies, Horsemanship, Ground work techniques,
Fencing, Pasture vs.Stabling and more.
This class is offered on an as needed basis.
Internship Tuition

Internships are available for those who really want to interact more with horses, but for financial or other reasons, may not have the opportunity to do so. At Bar-J we offer a solution. Our internship covers skills such as feeding, doctoring, confirmation, hoof care, handling horses on the ground and western riding. The intern pays a monthly fee as well as works in and around the barn, learning all aspects of horse care. Interns will be allowed to ride throughout the month according to their schedule. The more you are at the ranch, the more you will learn. Interns are required to be at lessons and at the ranch every Saturday, (exceptions are made). Interns will also be taken to horse shows on the weekends, and those ready will compete. For more info on our internship please contact Bar-J Ranch.
