SUMMER HORSE CAMP

If your child likes horses, they will LOVE a week at our Summer Horse Camp!

BAR - J Ranch summer horse camp is a co-ed ranch style camp created for children ages 7-17. It is designed to give kids an opportunity to learn cooperation and teamwork through hands on instruction on a real working ranch. They will learn not only the basics of horsemanship, but also enjoy many other activities including Ranch Rodeo, Cattle Herding, Shooting and Archery. Besides...Where else can you ride horses a really long time each day?

Campers have the chance to move up in rank to achieve more riding freedom. Our return campers that reached higher levels will return to Summer Horse Camp next year at their new level. Included are bunkhouse accommodations, meals, riding lessons, equipment, trail riding, arts and crafts supplies and instruction, and 24 hour supervision. Not to mention their own horse for a week, with the majority of their time spent with the horses, either instructional or riding.

*All sessions begin on Sunday and end on Friday. Each camp session will end with a Playday horse show for family to attend.

*Campers may sign up for one or more weeks. Campers who will be staying over the weekend for the following week of camp will not be charged for the weekend stay.

Tuition includes Room & Board, Riding Lessons, Riding, use of Riding Equipment, All Arts & Crafts Supplies and Instruction, 24 hour Supervision. Tuition and other prices do not include sales tax, transportation to and from camp, additional purchases, extra snacks from the cantina or photographs.

We have outside boarding available at no extra charge!

For those of you coming in by air, there are three airports nearby.

South Arkansas Regional At Goodwin Field in El Dorado AR, served by SeaPort Airlines, is just 22 miles from Bar-J Ranch.

Monroe Regional Airport located in Monroe, LA is approx. 100 miles from the Bar-J.

Clinton National Airport in Little Rock AR is approx. 106 miles from the ranch.

We'll be happy to provide a shuttle service to and from the airport for a minimal fee.

*For parents or grandparents who wish to come and stay,
we have R.V. sites available.
